Designing an elegant wedding invitation: Paul & Julie
Published on September 14, 2026 · 3 min read

The brief
A wedding invitation for Paul & Julie, with a requirement unlike any of my other projects: no call to action here, no conversion — just an emotion to convey accurately.
The process
The rose-toned background and floral composition immediately set a soft, romantic mood. Handwritten typography reinforces that personal, intimate feel, the opposite of the geometric typefaces used on my commercial branding work.
It's a different kind of exercise: every choice had to serve the couple's emotion, not a brand strategy.
What I take away from it
Working on a personal project like a wedding reminded me that design isn't always about performance or conversion. Sometimes the only mission is to make something feel right.
